Salman Khan is heading to Afghanistan, at least on screen. Director Vamshi Paidipally has recreated an entire Afghan village in Mumbai for the action sequences of his upcoming film with Salman Khan, currently titled SVC63. Nayanthara has also joined Salman for this portion of the shoot. Here’s what we know:
Afghanistan Has Been Recreated In Mumbai
Instead of travelling to Afghanistan, the makers have built a detailed Afghan village at Prime Focus Studio in Film City, Goregaon. The set has been designed specifically for the film’s action sequences and is being used to create the look and atmosphere required for the story.
Salman Khan Is Shooting The Action Portions
Salman is currently filming the high-intensity action portions of SVC63 in Mumbai. The film is being mounted as a large-scale action entertainer, with the makers investing heavily in creating elaborate sets for its world.
Nayanthara Has Joined The Schedule
Nayanthara is also part of this portion of the shoot and has joined Salman for the Afghan-set sequences. The film marks the first on-screen collaboration between Salman and Nayanthara, adding another major pairing to the project.
Vamshi Paidipally Is Going Big
Known for films such as Oopiri and Maharshi, Vamshi Paidipally is making his Hindi-film debut with this project. Rather than relying entirely on real locations, the director is building an expansive cinematic world within Mumbai itself.
The Film Has A Packed Cast
Alongside Salman Khan and Nayanthara, the film features actors including Jackie Shroff and Rahul Dev. Sagarika Ghatge has also reportedly joined the cast.
KnowBuddys Take
If you can’t take Salman Khan to Afghanistan, apparently you bring Afghanistan to Salman Khan. A full Afghan village recreated in Goregaon for action sequences sounds suitably massive for a Salman film. Now we’re waiting to see just how crazy these scenes actually look on screen.
