Guru Randhawa Donates Rs 7 Lakh
Guru Randhawa has donated Rs 7 lakh towards the construction of 35 homes for flood-affected families. The homes are being planned in Sivasagar, Jorhat and Nepali Khuti regions of Upper Assam, with the aim of providing families with safer and more permanent housing.
The Homes Will Be Flood-Proof
Instead of focusing only on immediate supplies, the latest initiative is aimed at long-term rehabilitation. The homes will be designed to provide better protection against recurring floods, helping affected families rebuild with greater security and stability.
This Isn’t His First Contribution
Randhawa had previously donated Rs 5 lakh towards Assam flood relief through the Hello Life Foundation. That contribution helped provide displaced families with essentials including food, clothing, medical supplies and other necessities.
Guru Has Supported Relief Efforts Before
The singer has also contributed to humanitarian efforts during previous crises. During the Punjab floods, his team supported relief camps, home reconstruction and farmers affected by the disaster. He had also donated Rs 20 lakh from his personal savings to the PM-CARES Fund during the COVID-19 pandemic.
