Guddu Pandit is back, but this time, he is bigger, stronger and looking more dangerous than ever. Ali Fazal has revealed that he underwent 15 months of intense training to build a bulkier physique for Mirzapur: The Movie. The actor wanted Guddu’s physical presence to match the rage and intensity of the character fans have known for years.
Guddu Is Bigger This Time
Ali Fazal’s new muscular avatar became one of the biggest talking points when the trailer dropped. The actor has transformed his physique to make Guddu look stronger and more intimidating while still retaining the essence of the character.
15 Months Of Training
The transformation wasn’t an overnight change. Fazal spent 15 months training extensively, focusing on wrestling drills, strength training and combat work to build the physicality required for the role.
He Wanted The Body To Match The Rage
For Fazal, the transformation wasn’t just about looking bigger. Guddu has always been driven by anger, ambition and a hunger for power. The actor wanted his physical appearance to communicate that same rage before he even said a word.
Guddu Is Still Guddu
Despite the physical transformation, Fazal didn’t want the character to feel disconnected from the Guddu audiences already know. His slightly hunched gait, mannerisms and attitude have been retained so that the new, bulkier version still feels like the same character who emerged from the Mirzapur series.
The Trailer Has Already Started The Conversation
The Mirzapur: The Movie trailer has triggered plenty of reactions online, from Pankaj Tripathi’s return as Kaleen Bhaiyya to new additions including Ravi Kishan and Jitendra Kumar. But Guddu’s transformation has clearly become one of the trailer’s biggest talking points.
KnowBuddys Take
Guddu Pandit went from “bhaiya” to “gym bhaiya” real quick. Fifteen months of training just to make the rage look bigger? Ali Fazal clearly understood the assignment. Now we need to see if this new Guddu is as dangerous as he looks.
