Salman Khan, Alvira Sent Court Notices Over Alleged Being Human Franchise Dispute

A Chandigarh court has issued notices to Salman Khan, his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri and the Being Human Foundation in connection with an alleged franchise dispute involving a Being Human jewellery showroom. The franchisee claims he invested more than Rs 2 crore and suffered significant financial losses after allegedly receiving inadequate support.

Franchisee Claims Lack Of Support

Advocate Rajwinder Raj, representing businessman Arun Gupta, alleged that his client received no support from Salman Khan or the trust after investing in the Being Human jewellery franchise. According to the advocate, Gupta invested over Rs 2 crore and suffered financial losses as a result.

Salman Was Allegedly Expected To Promote The Showroom

Raj claimed that Salman had invited Gupta to the Bigg Boss house and had promised to personally visit Chandigarh for the launch and publicity of the showroom. The advocate alleged that the actor did not make the promised appearance and that there was no subsequent follow-up from Salman or the trust.

Franchise Rights Were Later Assigned

According to Raj, the franchise rights were subsequently assigned to Style Quotient Jewellery, but the complainant allegedly did not receive a response from that side either. The dispute is now before the Chandigarh court in the case of Arun Gupta versus Style Quotient Jewellery Pvt. Ltd.

Court Issues Notices

The notices were issued on August 24 at the pre-cognisance stage under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. The court has sought responses from the parties and scheduled the next hearing for October 5, 2026.

Allegations Are Yet To Be Decided

The court issuing notices does not establish wrongdoing. The allegations made by the franchisee are yet to be adjudicated, and the parties named in the complaint will have an opportunity to respond. Reports have also noted that the jewellery business was operated by Style Quotient Jewellery under a licence for the Being Human brand, adding another layer to the dispute.
