Jackie Shroff and Anupam Kher turned an ordinary Mumbai drive into a nostalgic reunion when Shroff recently drove his longtime friend to Kher’s acting academy, Actor Prepares. Kher revealed that it had been nearly 30 years since Jackie last gave him a lift, making the moment a sweet throwback to their decades-long friendship.
A Ride Down Memory Lane
Anupam shared a video of Jackie behind the wheel as the two chatted during their drive through Mumbai. The moment reminded Kher of the days when they travelled together during the early years of their careers.
Kher Praises Jackie’s ‘Swag’
Kher described Jackie as someone for whom “swag is simply a way of life,” praising his natural warmth and easygoing personality. He also spoke about the affection Jackie has shown towards his family and mother over the years.
A Friendship That Goes Back Decades
The actors have shared the screen in several films, including Karma, Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Parinda, Saudagar and Border. Their friendship has continued beyond their film collaborations, with the two also reuniting for Tanvi: The Great in 2026.
Jackie Returns The Love
During the drive, Jackie expressed his affection and respect for Kher, his family and his craft. Kher responded with the same warmth, showing that their bond has remained strong despite the years.
KnowBuddys Take
Nearly 30 years later, the ride came full circle. No red carpets, no cameras, just Jackie behind the wheel and Anupam in the passenger seat — proof that some Bollywood friendships only get better with time.
