Hanuman Ansh has turned into one of the biggest box-office surprises of 2026. The low-budget devotional drama earned a staggering ₹49.25 crore nett in its fifth weekend, outperforming the fifth-weekend collections of both Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar 2. By the end of Day 31, the film had reached ₹122.13 crore nett in India, an extraordinary result for a film reportedly made on a ₹2 crore budget.

1. Hanuman Ansh delivers a fifth-weekend shocker

Most films slow down significantly by their fifth week in theatres. Hanuman Ansh, however, appears to have found a completely different trajectory. The film collected ₹10 crore on Friday, ₹16.50 crore on Saturday and ₹22.75 crore on Sunday, taking its fifth-weekend total to ₹49.25 crore nett.

2. It beats both Dhurandhar films

The comparison makes the achievement even more surprising.Dhurandhar collected ₹33.25 crore during its fifth weekend, while Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge managed ₹12.55 crore.Hanuman Ansh surpassed both individually and its ₹49.25 crore weekend was even ₹3.45 crore higher than their combined fifth-weekend total.

3. Sunday went absolutely wild

The biggest jump came on the fifth Sunday. The film recorded ₹22.75 crore nett, its highest single-day collection during the fifth week. Its show count also increased from 5,055 on Friday to 7,077 on Sunday, while occupancy climbed from 47% to 73%.

4. The ₹100 crore milestone came in an unusual way

By the end of Day 31, Hanuman Ansh had reached ₹122.13 crore nett in India. What’s particularly unusual is that the film entered its fifth weekend at around ₹82.88 crore nett and added nearly ₹40 crore over just three days. It crossed the ₹100 crore nett mark on Day 31.

5. A reported ₹2 crore film is behind the phenomenon

The film’s reported budget makes its theatrical run even more remarkable.Made for approximately ₹2 crore, the devotional drama has now generated box-office numbers far beyond what would normally be expected from a production of this scale. Its success has been driven by strong word of mouth and sustained theatrical interest.

6. Ticket sales show the audience demand

The momentum wasn’t limited to reported collections.Hanuman Ansh sold approximately 2.95 lakh tickets on BookMyShow on Friday, 5.14 lakh on Saturday and 4.13 lakh on Sunday. The film also continued to see strong occupancy across major markets.

7. Hanuman Ansh has become the ultimate sleeper hit

The film’s journey is now much bigger than simply being a profitable release.A modestly budgeted devotional drama has managed to cross ₹100 crore nett, continue growing in its fifth week and beat the fifth-weekend numbers of one of the year’s biggest Hindi franchises. That’s not just a hit. That’s a box-office plot twist.

KnowBuddys Take

₹2 CRORE BUDGET. ₹122+ CRORE NETT. FIFTH WEEKEND = ₹49.25 CRORE.Hanuman Ansh really looked at the box-office rulebook and said: “Nah, I’ll do my own thing.”While most movies are fighting to survive in Week 5, this one is ADDING SHOWS, increasing occupancy and pulling bigger numbers every day.And beating both Dhurandhar films on their fifth-weekend numbers?

That’s the kind of underdog story Bollywood box office LOVES.
