Salman Khan is back in the headlines. This time, it’s over a legal matter. A Chandigarh district court has issued summons to Salman Khan, his sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri, and the directors of Style and Content Jewellery Pvt Ltd in connection with a cheating complaint linked to the Being Human jewellery business. The matter is scheduled to be heard on October 5.

What Is The Case About?

The complaint was filed by Chandigarh-based businessman Arun Gupta, who alleges that he invested nearly ₹3 crore in opening a Being Human Jewellery showroom after being assured of strong business support and promotional backing. According to the complaint, he spent around ₹50 lakh renovating the showroom and approximately ₹1 crore on jewellery stock. Gupta also claimed he had been told Salman Khan would inaugurate and promote the outlet, but actor Aayush Sharma attended the launch instead. He further alleged that the supply outlet later shut down, causing heavy financial losses.

Company’s Earlier Stand

The company associated with the jewellery business has previously denied the allegations. It stated that Salman Khan had no direct involvement in the 2018 franchise agreement and that the jewellery venture was independently operated by Style and Content Jewellery Pvt Ltd under a brand licensing arrangement.

What Happens Next?

The court has asked Salman Khan, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and the company’s directors to appear and file their responses. At this stage, the summons are part of the legal process, and the allegations have not been proven in court. The matter will come up for hearing on October 5, when all parties are expected to respond.

A court summons is not a verdict. The case is now moving through the legal process, and all allegations will be examined in court. As with any ongoing legal matter, the outcome will depend on the evidence and proceedings that follow.
