Some memories don’t need a caption. Khushi Kapoor remembered her late mother, legendary actor Sridevi, on what would have been her 62nd birthday by sharing a rare childhood photograph featuring herself with Sridevi and Boney Kapoor.

A Rare Family Throwback

Khushi shared a childhood photograph from a family moment with her parents. The picture shows a young Khushi standing between Sridevi and Boney Kapoor while holding both their hands.

No Caption, Just A Memory

Unlike a typical birthday tribute, Khushi chose not to add any words to the photograph. The picture itself became the tribute, quietly marking Sridevi’s birth anniversary and bringing back a personal family memory.

Sridevi Would Have Turned 62

Sridevi was born on August 13, 1963, and passed away in 2018 at the age of 54. Widely regarded as one of Indian cinema’s most celebrated actors, she worked across several Indian languages and delivered iconic performances in films including Chandni, Mr India, Lamhe, Sadma and English Vinglish.

Khushi Is Following Her Mother’s Footsteps

Khushi made her acting debut with The Archies in 2023 and has since appeared in Loveyapa and Nadaaniyan. Her older sister Janhvi Kapoor also followed Sridevi into acting, making her Bollywood debut with Dhadak just months after their mother’s passing.

Sridevi’s Legacy Lives On

Even years after her passing, Sridevi continues to be remembered through her films, her family and the generations of audiences who grew up watching her. Khushi’s simple tribute once again showed how personal that legacy remains for her daughters.

No long caption. No elaborate tribute. Just one old photograph that says everything. Sometimes the most powerful way to remember someone is simply to go back to a moment when they were still there.
