Hollywood has lost one of its brightest young talents. Kaylee Hottle, best known for playing Jia in Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, has tragically passed away at the age of 18 following a car accident in Maryland. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by her father.
A Promising Career Cut Short
Kaylee won audiences over with her heartfelt portrayal of Jia, the deaf orphan who shared a special bond with Kong. Born into a multigenerational Deaf family, she became a powerful advocate for Deaf representation in Hollywood and inspired countless young people through her work on and off screen.
The Tragic Accident
According to authorities, Kaylee was a passenger in a single-vehicle crash in Frederick County, Maryland, early Tuesday morning. Investigators said the vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert. Kaylee was taken to a trauma centre, where she was later pronounced dead. Officials believe excessive speed may have been a contributing factor, and the investigation is ongoing.

Following the news, tributes flooded social media from co-stars, fans, and members of the entertainment industry.
