Yash’s next big-screen outing is officially ready to unleash its darker world. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), hinting that the film will be a more mature and intense action experience. The certification has also revealed a runtime of over three hours.
Toxic Gets An Adults-Only Certificate
The Geetu Mohandas directorial has been certified ‘A’ by the CBFC ahead of its theatrical release. The certification suggests that the film will feature mature themes, intense action and a darker narrative compared to Yash’s previous blockbuster outings.
The Film Runs For Over Three Hours
According to the certification details, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has a reported runtime of 194 minutes, making it approximately 3 hours and 14 minutes long. A long runtime usually means the makers are aiming for an expansive story with a detailed world and multiple character arcs.
Yash Plays A Complex Character
The film follows a gangster navigating loyalty, morality and redemption in post-Independence Goa. Unlike a straightforward action entertainer, Toxic explores a morally complicated character surrounded by violence, power struggles and personal conflicts.
A Star-Studded Cast
Alongside Yash, the film features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film is produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
A Different Side Of Yash
After the global success of the KGF franchise, expectations from Yash have reached another level. With Toxic, the actor appears to be moving away from the traditional mass-action template and stepping into a darker gangster drama with a more layered character.
KnowBuddys Take
An ‘A’ certificate, a 3-hour runtime and Yash in a morally grey gangster world? Toxic is clearly not playing safe. After KGF, the biggest question is whether Yash can create another cinematic universe that gets audiences equally obsessed.
