Diljit Dosanjh has never shied away from speaking his mind. As the nationwide debate around the CJP-led student protests continues, the singer-actor voiced his support for the students, saying authorities should listen to their demands, even if it means he gets labelled “anti-national” once again.

“Students Shouldn’t Have Been Treated Like This”

Taking to social media, Diljit shared a heartfelt message in Punjabi, expressing disappointment over the treatment of the protesting students. He urged the authorities to hear their concerns, writing that “The voice of the people is the voice of God,” while appealing for a peaceful and fair resolution to the issue.

“I’ve Been Called Anti-National Before”

Diljit acknowledged that his statement would likely attract criticism. Referring to the backlash he faced after supporting the farmers’ protests, he said he had previously been labelled “anti-national” and dealt with legal troubles for speaking up. Despite that experience, he said he would continue to stand by what he believes is right.

Another Celebrity Voice In The Debate

Diljit’s statement comes amid growing public attention around the student movement, with several public figures expressing concern over the protests and calling for dialogue. His comments have once again sparked conversations online about the role of celebrities in social issues and whether public figures should speak out during moments of national debate.
