Imagine watching a Christopher Nolan movie… And then having Christopher Nolan himself ask you if you liked it. Yeah, Mumbai just lived every cinephile’s dream. At the special Mumbai premiere of The Odyssey, Nolan took the stage alongside Matt Damon and Tom Holland after the screening and turned to the audience with a smile, asking, “Did you like the film?” The theatre erupted in cheers, whistles, and a standing ovation, making it one of the most unforgettable movie moments of the year.

India Became The Film’s First Audience

Before the screening, Nolan thanked Indian fans for their love and revealed that Mumbai was among the first audiences in the world to experience The Odyssey. He also praised Indian moviegoers, calling them some of the most knowledgeable and passionate cinema audiences anywhere in the world. Safe to say… The compliments were very much appreciated.

The Crowd Chose Chaos

As if the night wasn’t already iconic enough… Nolan decided to stir the pot. Looking at the audience, he playfully asked: “Who’s better… Matt Damon or Tom Holland?” The theatre instantly exploded with cheers for both stars, turning the premiere into a full-blown fan event rather than just another movie screening.

A Premiere Fans Will Never Forget

The event marked Christopher Nolan’s first-ever official film premiere in India, making it a landmark moment for both the filmmaker and Indian audiences. With Nolan, Matt Damon, and Tom Holland sharing the stage together, fans got far more than a screening, they got a memory they’ll probably be talking about for years.

Know Buddys Take

Here’s the tea. Most directors leave once the credits roll. Christopher Nolan stayed back…Asked if everyone liked the movie…And then started a Matt Damon vs Tom Holland fan war. Honestly? That’s the kind of post-credit scene we can get behind. Cinema wasn’t just on the screen that night. It was happening inside the theatre too.
