Turns out… One comment really did change everything. Almost two years after his remarks about Prabhas’ look in Kalki 2898 AD sparked massive backlash, Arshad Warsi has admitted that the controversy completely changed the way he interacts with people in public. The actor says he now practices “self-censorship” and is far more careful about when, and with whom, he jokes.

“I Only Joke With My Friends Now”

Reflecting on the episode, Arshad said he has become much more cautious about humour. He explained that he only jokes with close friends because they understand his personality and know where he’s coming from. With people he doesn’t know well, he now avoids making light-hearted remarks altogether, simply because he can’t predict how they’ll be received.

The Kalki Comment Changed Everything

For those who need a refresher… Arshad’s comments about Prabhas’ appearance in Kalki 2898 AD led to intense trolling from sections of the actor’s fanbase. The backlash dominated headlines for weeks and became one of Bollywood’s biggest online controversies of the year. Looking back, Arshad says the experience taught him to be more mindful of how even casual humour can be interpreted in today’s social media age.

“People Need To Lighten Up”

Even though he’s become more careful, Arshad still believes humour shouldn’t always be taken so seriously. He feels people have become increasingly sensitive online, making it harder for jokes to land the way they’re intended. At the same time, he admits that adapting his approach has become necessary.

The Internet Has Mixed Feelings

As expected, the internet is divided. Some people feel Arshad’s comments show maturity and self-reflection after a difficult experience. Others believe comedians and actors should still be free to express themselves without constantly worrying about online outrage. Safe to say…The debate isn’t ending anytime soon.

Know Buddys Take

Here’s the tea. The internet never forgets. And sometimes, one viral moment changes how someone speaks forever. Whether you agreed with Arshad’s original comment or not, his latest interview shows just how much public figures weigh every word in the social media era. Because these days… Sometimes the biggest script rewrite happens off-screen.
