Okay…This is getting bigger than just a movie release. Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 isn’t just aiming to dominate the Indian box office, it reportedly has its sights set on China, one of the world’s biggest film markets. After years of very few major Hindi theatrical releases in the country, the makers are planning an ambitious international rollout led by Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi.

Bollywood Could Be Returning To China In A Big Way

According to reports, the team is planning a dedicated promotional campaign in China beginning this September. The idea is to introduce Ramayana to a wider international audience, banking on the universal appeal of mythology, spectacle, and emotion. If the plan works, it could mark one of Bollywood’s biggest theatrical returns to the Chinese market in years.

Ranbir, Yash & Sai Pallavi Could Lead The Promotions

This isn’t expected to be just another overseas release. Reports suggest Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi may personally travel to China as part of the promotional campaign, highlighting how seriously the makers are treating the film’s global ambitions.

The Makers Are Thinking Global

The China plans come at a time when Ramayana is already building international momentum. The film is set for major promotional events, including a global trailer rollout and international showcases, reinforcing the makers’ vision of presenting the epic on a worldwide stage rather than limiting it to the Indian market.

Can Ramayana Become Bollywood’s Next Global Blockbuster?

Let’s be honest. Chinese audiences have previously embraced Indian films like Dangal, Secret Superstar, and Andhadhun. Now, Ramayana hopes to tap into that audience with massive scale, cutting-edge VFX, and one of the biggest casts Bollywood has assembled in years. It’s an ambitious move…But then again, this entire project has been ambitious from day one.

Know Buddy’s Take

Here’s the tea. Making a big movie is one thing. Making a movie the world wants to watch? That’s a completely different game. If Ramayana connects with audiences in China the way films like Dangal once did, this could be more than a blockbuster. It could become one of Bollywood’s biggest global success stories. Now that’s a box office battle worth watching.
