Well… this is not the Hera Pheri 3 update fans were hoping for. Director Priyadarshan has finally opened up about why he exited the much-awaited comedy sequel, and let’s just say, he didn’t hold back. According to the filmmaker, repeated insults, legal complications, and creative frustrations pushed him to leave a project he genuinely believed could have become one of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters.

“I Could’ve Made It Bigger Than Dhurandhar”

That’s the headline that’s got everyone talking. Priyadarshan said he had complete confidence in Hera Pheri 3 and believed it had the potential to become an even bigger success than Dhurandhar. But despite his excitement for the film, he said the constant disrespect and ongoing issues behind the scenes made it impossible for him to continue. Bold statement? Absolutely.

It Wasn’t About The Film… It Was About What Happened Off Camera

According to Priyadarshan, the decision wasn’t driven by the script or the cast. Instead, he claimed that repeated insults from producer Firoz Nadiadwala and unresolved legal disputes surrounding the project made working on the film increasingly difficult. He also expressed doubts about whether Hera Pheri 3 will even make it to theatres in its current state. Translation? The real drama isn’t in the screenplay.

A Franchise That Can’t Catch A Break

Over the last few years, Hera Pheri 3 has generated headlines for everything except filming. Casting confusion. Rights disputes. Legal battles. Directors leaving. At this point, the behind-the-scenes story has almost become its own movie.

Fans Are Feeling Heartbroken

For many movie lovers, Hera Pheri isn’t just another franchise, it’s comedy royalty. So hearing Priyadarshan, the man behind the original classic, speak so bluntly about walking away has left fans disappointed. Social media is already filled with people wondering whether the sequel can still capture the magic that made the original so iconic.

Know Buddys Take

Here’s the tea. When the director says he believed the movie could’ve been bigger than one of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters…and then still chooses to leave? You know the behind-the-scenes problems must have been serious. At this point, fans aren’t asking for another update. They’re asking for one thing: Can someone please get Hera Pheri 3 back on track? Because Bollywood deserves another Baburao moment, not another production controversy.
