The Welcome franchise has always been about one thing, pure, unapologetic chaos. So if you walked into Welcome To The Jungle expecting a layered story, emotional depth, or life-changing cinema… respectfully, you picked the wrong movie. This one is here for laughs, madness, and absolute “what is happening?!” energy. The good news? It delivers that in abundance. The bad news? It sometimes mistakes being louder for being funnier.
The Cast Is Doing The Most… Literally
This might be one of the most crowded Bollywood movies in recent memory. Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Johnny Lever… the cast list just keeps going. Seeing everyone together is genuinely entertaining, but there are moments where the film feels like it’s trying to give every single actor their own spotlight. Somewhere along the way, the story gets lost in the crowd.
Akshay Kumar Carries The Chaos
Whenever the film starts feeling repetitive, Akshay Kumar steps in and reminds you why he’s one of Bollywood’s best comedy actors. His comic timing still works, his screen presence is effortless, and he clearly understands the tone of the film better than anyone else. You can tell he’s having fun, and that energy is contagious.
Some Jokes Land… Some Really Don’t
Here’s where things get a little tricky. There are moments where the theatre genuinely bursts into laughter. Then there are scenes that stretch a joke for way too long, hoping it becomes funny simply because it refuses to end. It’s a bit like scrolling through memes, some are instant saves, some make you chuckle, and a few make you wonder who approved them.
The Original Welcome Is Still The Standard
Let’s address the elephant in the room. No matter how entertaining this film is, comparisons with the original are impossible to avoid. The first Welcome had effortless chemistry, iconic dialogues, and characters that became pop-culture legends. Welcome To The Jungle goes bigger in scale, louder in comedy, and larger in cast, but bigger doesn’t always mean better. It entertains, but it doesn’t recreate that same magic.
Know Buddys Take
Here’s the tea. This movie feels like that one friend who’s loud, chaotic, and completely unfiltered. Sometimes they’re hilarious. Sometimes they’re just… loud. If you go in expecting mindless entertainment, you’ll probably have a good time. If you’re expecting a comedy classic that’ll be quoted for the next 15 years, you might leave wanting a little more.
